On June 1st, Ajax Acros held their first ever Demo Day for recreational gymnasts.  It was a huge success.  Nine teams ranging in age from 5 to 16 from four clubs spent the morning presenting their group dance/gymnastic routines to an enthusiastic audience of close to 200 parents, relatives and friends.

 

Birchmount had four demo teams participate:

 

The Lollipop Kids (Abigail, Adrianna, Anastasia, Christina, Elizabeth, Emma, Jordan, Kelsey and Leah) did a two minute routine to the song Lollipop Lollipop.  This group of 5 to 7 year olds received their 3 stars from the judging panel in dance ability, costumes & props, and music selection.

 

The Night Hawks (Caitlyn, Cassandra, Georgia, Kaitlyn, Kayla, Lori, Melissa, Mylisa, and Sabine) performed to the music Saturday Night.  This group of 8 to 12 year olds received their 3 stars from the judging panel in dance ability, costumes & props, and energy & smiles.

 

Best Friends (Aashna, Akhila, Angel, Angelina, Bronte, Catherine, Jada, Jessica, Keira, Melissa, Neha, Sara, Shaynara and Sophia) used the Bratz music Best Friends.  This group of 7 to 13 year olds received their 3 stars from the judging panel in attitude & expression, costumes & props, and formations.

 

The Brollies (Cassandra, Dejavu, Kaitlyn, Julia, Leah, Luocia, Michaela, Megan, Nicole, Ruth, Stephanie and Taylor) did a three minute routine to the current big hit Umbrella.  This group of 9 to 15 year olds received their 3 stars from the judging panel in costumes & props, music selection, and formations.
